Jason,
I sent comments to Sue Homewood out of the Winston-Salem Regional Office on 11/19. Here
is what the comments were:
1. Please remove the layer of mulch that was specified above the
engineered soil media. Mulch is not needed for grassed
bioretention cells.
2. Please provide fertilizer and watering specifications to establish
the Bermuda grass.
3. Please reconfigure the underdrains so that they run the entire
length of the bioretention cell.
4. Please provide details of the flow splitting device that conveys
stormwater drainage to the two proposed bioretention cells as well
as the calculations that support the design of this device.
5. Please provide a construction sequence. The Required Items
Checklist states that there is a construction sequence on C1203;
however, this is not present on the plans that were submitted.
You should be receiving your letter soon. Sue may also be adding some of her own
concerns to the letter.
Thanks,
Annette
