Box 590 Raleigh, NC 27602-0590 Subject Property: Southeast Beaverdam Creek Interceptor Rehabilitation/Replacement Project SE Beaverdam Creek [030402, 27-33-15-2, C, NSW] REQUEST FOR MORE INFORMATION Dear Mr. Horton: On October 13, 2008, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received your application dated August 22, 2008, to fill or otherwise impact 65 linear feet of perennial stream, 40 linear feet of intermittent stream, and 11,259 square feet of Zone 1 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffer, and 12,597 square feet of Zone 2 Neuse River basin protected riparian buffer 47 to rehabilitate or replace the existing sewer interceptor at the site. On November 5, 2008, the DWQ received additional information from you, however, the DWQ has determined that your application remains incomplete and/or provided inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in order to process your application to impact protected wetlands and/or streams on the subject property. Therefore, unless we receive five copies of the additional information requested below, we will place this project on hold as incomplete until we receive this additional information. If we do not receive the requested information, your project will be formally returned as incomplete. Please provide the following information so that we may continue to review your project. Additional Information Requested: 1. Your NC EEP buffer mitigation acceptance letter has expired. Please provide an updated NC EEP buffer mitigation acceptance letter. 2. You have proposed to conduct this project under a USCACE Nationwide Permit No. 12. However, our corresponding General Certification No. 3699 states the following: This General Certification does not authorize any permanent changes in pre-construction elevation contours in waters or wetlands or stream dimension, pattern or profile.
