Dear Mr. Stowe:
The Environmental Sciences Section (ESS) wishes to extend our thanks on the quality of the data and analysis
contained within the aforementioned report. ESS staff has reviewed the document which was received by ESS on
November 14th. Eric Reek reviewed the benthic macroinvertebrate data while Bryn Tracy reviewed the fish
community data
Based on a review of benthic macroinvertebrate data, it is evident that the invertebrate community present at
upstream locations is similar to communities located downstream of the steam station. Therefore, based on these
data, the benthic macroinvertebrate community presently meets the requirements of a Balanced and Indigenous
Population (BIP).
In addition, based on a review of the fish community data, it is evident that there is also a high degree of similarity
in the fish communities present at the upstream stations relative to the locations located below the steam station.
Therefore, the overall fish community presently meets the requirements of a Balanced and Indigenous Population
(BIP)
