DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY WILMINGTON DISTRICT, CORPS ENGINEERS 69 DARLINGTON AVENUE - WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA 28403-1343 August 2, 2017 Regulatory Division Action ID No. SAW-2015-00299 State Permit No. 39-15 Regional General Permit No. 197800125 Watersedge Holdings, LLC Attn: Mr. Bobby Whitt 218 Briarcliff Lane Cary, North Carolina 27511 Dear Mr. Whitt: Through coordination with the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management, and on behalf of Water's Edge Mobile Home Park, we have learned of your request to modify your Department of the Army permit issued February 23, 2015, authorizing the replacement of the existing 575 square foot boat ramp with a new 12 foot ramp with 6 inch curbs on both sides in that same footprint of the existing boat ramp, in the Water's Edge Mobile Home Park, 3200 Emerald Drive, adjacent to Bogue Sound, in Emerald Isle, Carteret County, North Carolina. Coordinates are: 34.67777, -76.96376. The proposed modification is to extend the boat ramp an additional 12 feet and excavate material within a 0.03 acre area (12'x13' to a maximum depth of 8-10 inches of material). On January 1, 2017, General Permit No. 197800125 was renewed to maintain, repair and construct boat ramps and associated piers, docks and mooring piles within navigable waters and waters of the United States in the State of North Carolina. Your proposal has been reviewed and found to be consistent with GP 125 provisions and objectives of the CAMA-Corps Regional Permit process (copy attached). The expiration date of your General Permit No. 197800125 is December 31, 2021. Additionally, Manatee Guidelines were required as a condition of the original authorization and would be required again. -2 - Therefore, you may commence construction activity in strict accordance with applicable State authorization, previous Federal special conditions, and the approved plan. Failure to comply with the State authorization or conditions of the Federal permits could result in civil and/or administrative penalties. Your work is authorized provided it is accomplished in strict accordance with your submitted plan, the enclosed general and special conditions. Please read the enclosed permit to prevent an unintentional violation of Federal law. As this Department of the Army regional general permit does not relieve you of the responsibility to obtain any other required approvals, you should contact appropriate State and local agencies before beginning work. If any change in your work is required because of unforeseen or altered conditions or for any other reason, plans revised to show the change must be sent promptly to this office and the North Carolina Division of Coastal Management prior to performing any such change or alteration. Such action is necessary as revised plans must be reviewed and the authorization modified. Your Department of the Army permit will expire on December 31, 2021.
