Good to speak with you today. I have attached some additional information regarding the 401 permitting process,
avoidance and minimization, and backyard stream repair and stabilization.
In addition, these are frequently asked questions regarding the 401 process. You can scroll down to How much can I

As we discussed on the phone, we will need a better understanding of how impacts can be avoided and minimized. Can
a 10-15 foot crossing be used to access the back of the building? Can this crossing provide access for children to the
playground? Have alternative designs been explored? Can the stream bank be planted with additional vegetation to
provide more stability? Why is 149 feet of impact needed? These are just a few of the questions the Division has.
