Floodplain benches formed on their own following several storm events that occurred prior to bench construction. Sediments were deposited where benches were to be constructed. It was determined that further work was not needed to benches. DOT asked if anv further work was needed per the plans to construct benches. It appeared that the benches were alreadv functioninq without additional riprap. I reviewed the site with DOT bv walkinq alonq the newlv form benches and determined that thev were stable. Veq was beqinninq to emerqe as well. We all decided to leave well enouqh alone and seed and with native riparian mix and place orqanic fiber mattinq. page: 2
