I have been able to get in touch with Amber Greune at Geosyntec regarding the information you've requested regarding water quality monitoring. She and I have a meeting next week to continue working on the details of the monitoring plan. At this time I would like to request an extension of the deadline for submitting my final monitoring plan to September 1, 2017. This additional time will allow for me to work with water quality monitoring professionals to create a plan, and allow some time for your office to address any questions I may have after meeting with Amber next week. Thank you for considering my request for a deadline extension. Unfortunately I do not believe I will be able to provide your Division with the requested information with the given 30 days. I would like to request an extension of deadline for submitting a water quality plan. I would like to propose that we hold a meeting at your office on June 1st at 2:00 pm so that we can discuss specific requirements for a water quality monitoring plan for the Bynum Hydro project (FERC Project No 4093). Provided that we are able to meet on June 1, I would like to request a new deadline of July 1, 2017 so that I can incorporate feedback from our meeting into a final plan. Additionally, I am unable to provide DWQ with a copy of the requested Draft Environmental Assessment (DEA) for the Bynum Hydro project as it has not been created by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). They are currently working on the DEA, however I am unaware of when it will be completed and distributed. If possible I would like to request an extension of deadline for my submission of a DEA until it is published by FERC. Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to hearing from you regarding a possible meeting on June 1st at 2:OOpm. Sincerely, Andrew McMahan McMahan Hydroelectric LLC (336)-509-2148 mcmahanhydro@gmail.com
