Per the Notice of Violation for Hiwassee Dam School WWTP; the results for parameter
Nitrogen, Ammonia Total for the for the date 3/21/2017, exceeded the daily maximum
due to the sand filters ponding. We have had the trash tanks pumped and cleaned and
have them on a regular schedule for future cleanings. Also, the sand beds have been
raked down and this too will be done on a regular basis. Since then the Nitrogen,
Ammonia Total has returned to compliance.

construction activities, then you may wish to consider applying for a Special Order by Consent (SOC).
