Some items were removed from the creek. I’ll pass along a picture of what was removed. Since we don’t know exactly where the pictures were taken, I can’t say if we got exactly what was in the pictures. Also, the stream flows through an urban area before coming to our project, so its hard to say what came from the project and what came from above us. We’re definitely not ‘dumping’ trash into the creek, but during heavy rains, things might move off the project. We’ll do our best to contain what’s on the project, and remove it if it comes from us. The picture of the sheen is most likely iron-oxidizing bacteria, but that’s hard to confirm in a picture. I just got off the phone with him. He is complaining that there is construction debris in Kerners Mill Creek and he thinks it is from the project. Based on his description of the location, it is downstream of Site 11 or 11A. He said it can be accessed at the end of Long Walk Dr. The soonest I can get out there is Weds around 11:00. Can someone from DOT run out there tomorrow to determine if the debris is from the project? He is asking that it be cleaned out of the stream.
