Travis,
the permit app. for this project came in this week. DOT states that WRC
requested a moratorium for a signficant fishery for sunfish. They state
they do not intend to adhere to this request. Later in the application
they state that due to the presence of a unique freshwater mussel
assemblage, including several federal species of concern, they will be
using design standards in sensitive watersheds.
Please let me know what WRC would like to do in this situation. I'll
need to know something by thanksgiving so we can start any processes if
necessary.
