The coordinates for the pipe are 350 35'25.62" N and 790 02'46.96" W. The pipe has a very low flow and was difficult to sample, however a sample of the discharge from the pipe was obtained. We have continued to monitor the flow from the pipe, we believe the origin of the water is from an old French drain system in the vicinity of the cooling tower. The water in the pipe has been re-routed and combined with Seep S-5 into one discharge point into the discharge canal (effluent channel) so it will be monitored at Outfall 007. Attached are the sampling results. Should you have any questions regarding this submittal or require additional information, please contact me at 919 546-7457 or at steve.cahoon@duke-energy.com. Sincerely, Steve Cahoon Duke Energy EHS CCP Permitting and Compliance cc: Danny Smith, Raleigh Regional Office, NCDEQ Jeff Poupart, Complex Permitting Unit Sergei Chernikov, Complex Permitting Unit
