RE: Moratorium - Bridge # 56 over Long Shoal River on US 264 in Hyde County
On February 1, 2017, NCDOT requested to continue in-water work until February 21 to allow the contractor to complete
the necessary pile removal/installation on the northbound lane at Bridge No. 56, located over the Long Shoal River on
US 264 in Hyde County (DCM Major Permit #111-15 issued on October 9, 2015).
After the request, DCM consulted with representatives from WRC and DMF regarding the proposed extension of in-
water work and has determined that the requested relief is appropriate at this time.
This email acts as authorization from DCM to continue in-water work for 7 additional days beyond the February
15t" fisheries moratorium date. No in-water work shall take place on or beyond February 22, 2017.
Thank you for your time and if you have any questions regarding this matter do not hesitate to contact me at (252)264-
3901 ext. 249.

G reg,
Attached is the request letter regarding an extension on the in-water work moratorium for this project. If you have some
questions, please let me know. The request is for a 7 day extension, but we will push to get the work completed prior to
that date.
Thanks,
