NOTICE OF A CITIZENS INFORMATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR THE PROPOSED
CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW REST AREA ON US 23-74 SOUTHBOUND AND
UPGRADE THE EXISTING REST AREA ON US 23-74 NORTHBOUND

The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold the above
Citizens Informational Workshop on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 between the hours of
5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in the Waynesville Middle School Cafeteria, 495 Brown
Avenue, Waynesville.

The purpose of this workshop is for NCDOT representatives to provide
information, answer questions, and accept written comments regarding this project.
NCDOT proposes to construct a new rest area on southbound US 23-74. The project
will also include upgrading the existing rest area on northbound US 23-74.

Anyone desiring additional information may contact Mr. Ryan White, Project

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with
