As you may recall we have a historically low pH which has ranged 5.4—6.2 over the last several years at our location. The field pH during our last sample event in May was 5.8 and 5.9 for Outfall 001 and 002 respectively. Test results from samples taken at Outfall 2 indicate normal levels of Zinc. At Outfall 2, Zinc levels measured 0.039 mg/L against the Benchmark of 0.067 mg/L. Samples collected during this period still show an elevated Zinc level at Outfall 1, test results of 0.069 mg/L to a benchmark value of 0.067 mg/L . HYG will implement Tier Two actions as required by our permit. 1. Repeat all requirements of Tier One.. 2. Immediately institute monthly monitoring, both analytical for all parameters and qualitative, at the affected outfall. Monitoring will must continue until three consecutive results are below the benchmark value, or within benchmark range 3. If not discharge occurs during sampling period, the report must indicate "no flow". 4. Maintain a record of Tier Two responses in the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan. All other parameters were within the benchmark range. Please let me know if I there are any additional considerations that must be made.
