Donna,

Boone Gap project look good overall. They still has some matting to put down and some seeding to do, but the main
channel work looked good.
The one thing I did notice was that they had essentially blocked a pre existing jurisdictional ditch with riprap. A spring
seeps out of the hillside approximately 75 feet upstream and enters the ditchline. According to plans the ditchline was
to remain undisturbed and was not permitted for any fill. I instructed the contractor to shift the rocks aside to create a
channel to allow flow to flow across the floodplain bench and into the main channel. Let me know if this is adequate or
is you want them to do something else.
