Dear Mr. Sideris:
On November 21$ 2016, the Division of Water Resources Washington Regional Office
received Duke Energy's Revised Sampling and Analysis Plan. The Revised Sampling and
Analysis Plan addresses information and incorporates revisions requested in the Division's letter
dated November 9, 2016 (attached).
Duke Energy also requests approval to suspend surface water sampling on December 1,
2016. Based on sampling efforts to date and findings, Duke Energy's request to suspend surface
water sampling on December 1, 2016 is approved.
Please continue to implement further Hurricane Matthew Response efforts as outlined in
the Revised Sampling and Analysis Plan and Division's November 9, 2016 correspondence. A
report summarizing findings should be submitted by January 31, 2017.
