Thanks for the notification. Please have them remove all rocks/boulders from the stream and riparian area. Repair
buffer zone as needed.

Dave,
See below info regarding a blasting incident on the subject route. Looks like they got 5 rocks in the creek along with
some temporary turbidity. I will instruct them to recover the rocks. Sounds like all reasonable precautions were taken.

Heath,
In follow up to my voice mail this afternoon, attached are the pictures of the blasting operations from 11-21-16. Today’s
blasting operations consisted of three shots, which resulted in approximately 5 rocks in the stream with some additional
flyrock in the buffer area. The rocks in the stream consisted of four pieces of flyrock and one larger boulder that rolled
over the embankment into the stream. Please note that it appears that the stream turbidity resulted from the large boulder.
Some soil material did overtop the silt fence, but it appears to be contained on top of the existing coir fiber matting. The
contractor is in the process of removing all flyrock from the stream and buffer areas. In addition the contractor is replacing
the coir fiber mattering that was covered with material. The contractor was using a different blasting contractor for this
operation. The blast area had been reduced in size, due to blasting operations being adjacent to the environmentally
sensitive area. Blasting mats were used during this work. Additional cover was placed over portions of the blasting mats
during the operations. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please let me know.
