Meredith,
Following are my directions on how the water should be released into the re-aligned stream on the parcel just east of Johnson Street on project U-3615B.
1.Place filter cloth, then sandbags in the dry channel immediately upstream of the existing check dam installed at the downstream end of the project. Sandbags should be placed at a height
of three to four feet
above the stream bed.
2.Remove the existing downstream check dam
3.SLOWLY release the water into the re-aligned channel and allow it to gradually fill the re-aligned channel to the top of the sandbags
4.Remove the sandbags by hand one at a time and then remove the filter cloth
Please call me if you have any questions.
