Per our discussion a couple of weeks ago, attached is the modified work trestle configuration that Balfour Beatty has
provided for B-4929 in Pender County. The modification includes the following:

Main line of the trestle has been reduced from 40 ft. to 30 ft. in width.


Fingers have been reduced from 40 ft. to 30 ft. in width and relocated directly over the permanent bents.


Four - 30 ft. wide fingers have been added to the back side of the trestle, so cranes can be moved off of the

main line trestle. The fingers are at approximately 24+50 RT, 30+00 RT, 44+50 and 50+75.

Temporary fenders are also proposed at Bent 14 and Bent 15 to protects crews and structure during

construction.

As discussed, DCM has informed me that this will require a minor mod. If I remember correctly, the Corps and DWR
have stated that the modified work trestle plans can be added to their project files and a permit modification is not
required. I have not had any discussions with the USCG.
