Hi Erin. Monte is reviewing the EA Addendum for U-2524D so hopefully we'll have our permit mod decision in the mail
by the end of the week.
I agree with Brian. The Corps certainly doesn't control how NCDOT crafts its contracts. But, it should be clear in the
advertisement that sites 11 and 12 will be permitted under U-2525C.

Erin,
I should have the mod to the mod signed on Monday, the 18th. As for how you advertise the contracts, I don't see a
problem with this, as long as it is clear to the contractors that sites 11 and 12 will be permitted under U-2525C.
Thanks,

Dave/Brian-
FYI - As we preliminarily discussed, we will be submitting a permit modification application in the near future for U-2525
B/C to include permit sites 11 and 12 that were originally included with the U-2524D modification application. Contracts
can go ahead and advertise U-2524D this coming Tuesday the 26th (so long as we can provide them with the 404 and
401 permit package for Sites 1-10 by Monday the 25th) with the provision that we will secure the U-2525C modification
within the next 6 months or sooner.
Also, do you see any issue with us including permit sheets 21-24 in the permit package with a note that these areas will
be permitted under U-2525C/D (similar to what I did on permit sheets 18 and 19 in the July 11th memo)? The Division
has asked if that's possible to avoid confusion when the contractor is looking at the drawings since all of the work will be
advertised at once.
Thanks so much for helping us work though this!
