Brian:
I can meet with you on Tuesday. I have arranged for Mike Fritts, the Contractor’s Erosion Control person, to be there as
well. Let me know a specific time and we can meet at our field office.

Bill and Jerry,
After reviewing the rainfall data and ESC maintenance records, I’ve decided against issuing a compliance letter for the
stone and sediment losses at the Drawbridge Pkwy bridge site. Despite the previous losses at this site, it is difficult to
manage a 2.5” rainfall event in a short period of time. That being said, any further losses at this location will be heavily
scrutinized with little consideration of rainfall amounts except in extreme events. I do want to discuss some of the
recordkeeping practices for this site with you. I have a couple of suggestions that will provide some clarity on ESC
maintenance activities on the project, but it’s probably easier to discuss these in person. Are you available next Tuesday
(8/9) after lunch? I can come out to the site or wherever is convenient to discuss the records.
