facility, construct a boat ramp in one foot of water and add additional rip rap to an existing
bulkhead. The DWQ has determined that your application was incomplete and/or pruvid(A
inaccurate information as discussed below. The DWQ will require additional information in.
order to process your application to impact protected wetland, streams and/or buffers on t1Bc

boat ramp. The shallow depths associated with this ramp will cause disturbance of the
bottom sediments, create scour and temporary turbidity issues during every use. This
disturbance carries the potential for secondary and cumulative impacts to habitat areas
adjacent to the ramp. During a site visit DWQ staff noted a Division of Wildlife Resources
Commission public ramp within 1.5 miles of the subject property. Please provide
information indicating why the ramp cannot be reconfigured to avoid impacts or removed
from the proposed project.
Please respond in writing to the DWQ within four weeks of the date of this letter to with the
requested information. If we do not hear from you within four weeks, we will assume that you no
longer want to pursue this project and we will consider the project as withdrawn.
This letter only addresses the application review and does not authorize any impacts to wetlands,
waters or protected buffers. Please be aware that any impacts requested within your application
are not authorized (at this time) by the DWQ. Please call Kyle Barnes of the Washington
Regional Office at 252-948-3917 or Ian McMillan of the DWQ Central Office at 919-733-1786
