Dear Ms. Manuel and Mr. McMillan,
Pursuant to our meeting on January 26, 2007 at the Town of Cary with M/I Homes regarding the
temporary connection of Green Level Church Road associated with the Greystone Subdivision, we
are providing this letter on behalf of Mr. )ohn Brown with Winslow Properties regarding the status of
Green Level Church Road extension associated with Hilliard Forest Subdivision. Please note that
Hilliard Forest is just south of Greystone Subdivision and Winslow Properties will be extending Green
Level Church Road from Greystone Subdivision as part of the approved construction plans prepared
by Withers &Ravenel so that it ties into the existing alignment.
Hilliard Forest roadway plans vvere approved by the Town of Cary in August 2006 and subdivision
plans were approved by the Town in December 2006. The roadway plans are currently under second
review with NCDOT which we anticipate approval next month, if not sooner, based on the review
comments and discussions with district office.
Please note the subdivision is currently under construction and Mr. Brown anticipates starting
construction of the Green Level Church Road extension fall 2007 once the project is publicly bid and
a contract is awarded.
Furthermore, we have confirmed with conversation with Mr. Brown as well as Wake County tax
records that Winslow Properties is the owner of subject property which was questioned during our
meeting.
As we discussed in the January 26 meeting, it is critical that we proceed with construction of the
temporary connector road so Green Level to Durham Road can be opened to traffic. Please note that
the road has been closed to the public since last summer and NCDOT is anxiously waiting for M/I
Homes to remove the detour.
