SUBJECT: Comments on the Replacement of Bridge No. 195 on SR 1552 over Lake
James Creek for Duke Power's FERC Permit Application, McDowell County,
TIP No. B-3872
Project Development and Environmental Analysis (PDEA) is in the process of applying for a
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) permit from Duke Power due to our project
encroaching the property of Duke Power. Duke Power requests that PDEA coordinate with the
Division of Water Quality and receive your comments concerning the project to include in the
permit application.
Attached for your assistance is a copy of the Categorical Exclusion, Roadway Design Plans, a
vicinity map, and the scoping meeting minutes. Please provide your written comments by
August 31, 2005. If you have any questions, please contact Chavonda Brown by phone,
