There was no Measurable Storm Event on site in June. In July Samples were collected during Measurable Storm Events from Discharge points C,D and G. Samples were collected using good sampling practice into precleaned and in some cases preserved containers supplied by Pace Analytical Laboratories. This sampling complies with the direction of Laura Herbert of the NC DENR DLR Asheville Regional office. No significant process sources of zinc have been identified at our facility. We continue to believe that the major contributors are infrastructure sources. We have one area that uses a small quantity of zinc chloride. This room vents to the roof area that drains to conveyance point D. We are currently working toward eliminating this vent system so that no process materials have the possibility of making it to the roof area. Please contact me with operational or compliance issues. Otherwise contact Dan March of Pisgah Environmental Services at 828-768-3335 or via email at Pisgah-air@vt.edu if you have questions or comments concerning technical aspects of this report.
