Laboratory results for these samples are recorded on the attached Discharge Monitoring Report (DMR) forms. Results for all parameters were less than their respective benchmarks or within acceptable ranges except for the aluminum concentration at Outfall #1. The aluminum concentration at Outfall#1 was greater than the benchmark value of 0.75 mg/L, which places that location in Tier 1 status. The elevated aluminum level at this.outfall is likely due to sediment suspended in the stormwater runoff during the briefs-yet heavy, rain event. Soil, sediment, sand, and asphalt in central North Carolina all contain aluminum. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like additional information about these analytical results. The laboratory packet is available upon request. Sincerely William K. Steinmetz Environmental Compliance Specialist Attachments
