Good morning Brian!
Just trying to circle around and close the loop with respect to your concerns raised regarding the design and armoring
related to both these bridges. I forwarded to you the design teams rationale for the stream bank armoring (which you
deferred to their and DOT Hydro’s expertise) on Bridge 132, the revised plans (redlines) for the floodplain design on
bridge 221 (which included the typical that showed the placement of coir fiber matting in the bench) and Galen’s email
regarding the design of the ditch on bridge 132.
I believe this addresses all your concerns? These 2 bridges have had many discussions over many issues the past 2
weeks and I’m honestly trying to make sure that I’ve resolved all the issues (and that nothing is slipping through the
cracks).
Please let me know if there is anything else that concerns you with respect to these bridges.
Thank you so much!
Nikki
