HomeMy WebLinkAbout20140090 Ver 3_Dragados Quick Action Erosion Control Plan_20160810��� �� ���� w��� ��� �� � g � � �� Winston —Salem Northern eeltway August 8, 2016 Erosion Control Response — Action Plan Grading Superintendent, Erosion Control Superintendent and Erosion Engineer will meet each morning to discuss the weather forecast and plan for any upcoming rain. Each Superintendent will relay weather-related plans to his Foremen. In the event of a predicted rain event, grading operations wili cease at least two hours before predicted rain to give operators ample time to install measures for the storm. Foremen will closely monitor the installation of the measures to insure proper installation. Foremen will notify Superintendents when measures are in place. Superintendents will inspect devices with the Foremen. Special attention will be given to specific areas such as permitted areas where silt loss has been experienced in the past. Superintendents will inspect the devices in these locations to verify adequate controls are in place before rain begins. In the case of an unexpected storm or rain event each Foreman will be responsible for the environmentally sensitive areas within his section. He has standing authority to install immediate controls at specific areas where silt loss has occurred in the past. Foremen have the authority to use their discretion to prepare sites as necessary to prevent erosion and siit loss.
