Comment: This inspection was a follow-up to the August 1 sediment loss report at Site 10. The stream is cleared of
sediment and crews are now working on EC control measures per Roadside Environmental's direction. An
ICA was issued. The ICA will remain in effect until EC measures are repaired. A quick moving storm
deposited 1.6 inches while the crews were filling to qrade. Measures were overwhelmed. It was
determined that some measures were not constructed properly. Roadside conducted field training this
morninq with key personnel to reinforce their responsibilities throughout the day and evening shifts, that
EC measures need to be in place and properly constructed. In the future, if storms are forecasted and
eminent, field staff need to make the decision to stop grade/fill operations and ensure EC measures are
installed. EC measures cannot be removed until weather indicates that rain chances are diminished.
