Remarks and Recommendations:
Reviewed project today with Jeremy Guy, Scott Wyrick, Amy Euliss. Heavy recent rains resulted in sediment
loss at Site 10 and Site 2.
Overall, EC plan has been implemented for the current phase of construction. Additional grading and site
drainage management is needed as work progresses.
At site 10, move SDO over to natural low point at pipe inlet. Clean out accumulated silt and stabilize the area.
Along haul road on project left, slopes were reworked removing existing grass. Slopes had been reseeded and
mulched, basins installed along ditchline. Heavy rain caused erosion that overwhelmed EC devices. Sediment
came from this haul road.
Repair seed/mulch eroded slopes. Cleanout and maintain the basins behind each silt check.
Slopes should be stage seeded to keep groundcover as its established. Don't rework entire slopes where not
necessary.
Recommend break up slope length with wattles across the slope at approx 25' length.
Clean off stream crossing bridge and stabilize the halul road to prevent impacts at creek.
Site 2: Cut diversion ditches to direct runoff to basins ID 5.26C , 6.5 B and 6.4 F. Utilize berms and excavate
ditch to direct runoff to these basins and help dewater the roadway area at site 2. Intent is to remove runoff
from roadway to basins in several places, and to direct runoff around the site 2 area to the existing basin.
The overall site drainage needs to be addressed and graded to drain per above comments. This needs to be
addressed immediately.
All "Urgent" items on the NPDES list need to be addressed.
