Presentation of hand clearing impacts is something that has been done with DOT projects specifically. If detailing the hand clearing impacts is as simple as turning on a layer in the mapping system, I would appreciate knowing where and how much hand clearing impacts are proposed. If this is more complicated than that, you can omit the hand clearing impacts. However, I do need to see the temporary wetland impacts shown on the drawings, preferably by some crossing-hatching style. Comment: • Page 1, Section A.I d. of the Pre-Construction Notification (PCN) form indicates that you are only applying for a 40I Water Quality Certification. The project is located in the Rand leman Lake watershed and appears to impact protected riparian buffers. The PCN should also indicate that you are applying for a Riparian Buffer Authorization. Please submit a revised page I of the PCN. Question: Since High Point is a delegated community that manages their own stream buffers, do we need to apply for Ripairian Buffer Authorization? C.u Question: • The drawings submitted with the application do not show the areas of impact to streams, wetlands, or buffers. Although it can be assumed that the impacts correspond with the location of the greenway, there may be additional cleared areas outside of the greenway location for installation and maintenance purposes. Please clearly show the impacts to streams, wetlands, and buffers on the drawings at a scale that is easy to read (no greater than Z "=50). i The ACOE does not consider the construction of an elevated timber greenway as an impact to the wetlands if vegetation is not grubbed. Does DWR consider it as impacts?
