D. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1 a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing project.
Project was designed specifically to avoid any impact of zone 1 and to have minimal impact of zone 2.
Cantilevers and maximum framing allowances were used to insure minimal disturbance to the ground. Project
remains completely within current manicured yard and doesn't extend into natural areas.
1 b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction
techniques.
All construction to be done by hand. All materials to be walked to and from streetside so no heavy equipment or
vehicles will be impacting the buffer. Footings to be dug by hand and concrete to be mixed by hand.
2. Buffer Mitigation
2a. Will the project result in an impact within a protected riparian buffer that requires buffer Yes
mitigation?
2b. If yes, then identify the square feet of impact to each zone of the riparian buffer that requires mitigation and
calculate the amount of mitigation required in the table below.
