Hi Anthony -
In reviewing the link you have in your email it is for non -electric lines parallel to the buffer. Our disturbance is
perpendicular to the buffer for installation of a single gravity sewer pipe.
Since our utility is perpendicular and straight through the buffer would it fall under the allowable condition of
a perpendicular crossing greater than 40 LF but less than 150 LF with a maintenance corridor less than 10 ft?

Mr. Larson,
Per the Buffer Interpretation/Clarification #2011-001 (Link Below), the installing of a new non -electric utility line within a
pre -established easement that does not currently contain aline within Zone 1 is allowable with mitigation. This Office
will be placing the project on hold until documentation from an appropriate mitigation bank or the NCDMS indicating
their willingness to accept your request to purchase buffer credit.
