Magellan operates a surface water pollution control system for stormwater in proximity to
aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) and the fuel loading rack. The ASTs are used for the bulk-
storage of petroleum hydrocarbon fuels in excess of one million gallons and ethanol. The
surface water pollution control system consists of the following:
• Drains from the truck loading rack that discharge to the oil/water separator and
associated holding tank (holding tank has an optional pump out for off-site
disposal);
• Stormwater drains, which are located north of the truck loading rack and drain to
the AST earthen berm;
• Stormwater gravity drains from the AST earthen berm containment areas;
• Outfall 002 discharge line with hand-operated, normally closed control valve; and
• Dry-ditch (draining to UT of Long Branch).
