Subject: W10600068 (Smitty's Cleaners DSCA Site # 26-0003) - Permit Completed
Dear Permittee:
On August 12, 2024, the North Carolina Division of Water Resources Underground Injection Control Program (UIC
Program) received your request to rescind permit W10600068 for injection activities at the Smitty's Cleaners DSCA Site #
26-0003 located at 3060 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
The UIC Program has reviewed your request and has determined that the information provided to date is sufficient for
completing the monitoring and compliance reporting requirements of the permit. Therefore, the permit has been closed.
Please note that any other compliance monitoring or reporting for any other regulatory agency shall continue as required.
If you wish to conduct future injection operations, you must first apply for and receive a new injection well permit. The
injection well permit application, well construction/abandonment forms, and other UIC-related forms can be downloaded
from the UIC Program's website at (https://www.deg.nc.gov/about/divisions/water-resources/groundwater-
resources/forms-permit-application-tracking). Operating an injection well without a valid permit could result in a civil
penalty of up to $25,000 per day.
Please forward this email to any other relevant contact person(s) not copied on this email for their records.
If you have any questions, please contact Blake Butcher by email at blake.butcher@deg.nc.gov or by phone at (919) 707-
3671.
Thank you,
UIC Program
