Hunt, Jr., Governor Wayne McDevitt, Secretary A. Preston Howard, Jr., P.E., Director /July 22, 199 Mr. Gary Elder 1\ Schneider Mills, Inc. P.O. Box 519 Taylorsville, North Carolina 27520 Dear Mr. Elder: NCDENR NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND NATURAL RESOURCES Subject: NPDES Permit Correction NPDES Permit NCO034860 Schneider Mills Alexander County The Division issued a modification of the subject permit on May 26, 1998. A second review of the permit modification by Robert Scheller of the Mooresville Regional Office identified an error in the amounts of BOD, Total Suspended Solids and COD on the Effluent Limitations page for outfall 001. This permit correction restores the correct limits for those parameters. Please find enclosed the corrected Effluent Limitations page for outfall 001. This page should be inserted into your permit. The old page may then be discarded. All other terms and conditions contained in the original permit remain unchanged and in full effect. This permit correction is issued under the requirements of North Carolina General Statutes 143-215.1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency. If any parts, measurement frequencies or sampling requirements contained in this permit correction are unacceptable to you, you have the right to an adjudicatory hearing upon written request within thirty (30) days following receipt of this letter. This request must be a written petition conforming to Chapter 150B of the North Carolina General Statutes, filed with the Office of Administrative Hearings, Post Office Drawer 27447, Raleigh, North Carolina 27611-7447. Unless such demand is made, this decision shall be final and binding. If you have any questions concerning these permit corrections, please contact Charles Weaver at (919) 733-5083, extension 511.
