Mr. Barnes, Attached you will find the NOV referenced above in the subject line for Kittrell Job Corps Center. This NOV was due to a high fecal coliform result received on 4/30/2024. On 4/29/2024, 1 conducted a weekly cleaning of our UV basin as I do every week prior to collecting the weekly fecal coliform grab sample. Either during this cleaning procedure or during the afternoon of 4/29/2024, the GFCI that our UV bulbs are plugged into, tripped. I did not catch this error prior to collecting the fecal coliform sample on 4/30/2024. Once I did catch this error, I performed a second cleaning of UV banks and reset the GFCI upon completion. A second grab sample was conducted on Friday, May 3 for the same calendar week, which returned a satisfactory result of 5 CFU/100ml. As stated, I perform cleaning procedures on the UV Banks and Bulbs every week; however, I will ensure that I am checking the GFCI daily to avoid this going forward. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me anytime by phone or email. Sincerely, Andy L.
