This is, in fact, what I was hoping. But the architect is on the building committee and I was worried that if I did not have some sort of "proof' that he would deny my building permit in the community. So, next steps then would be to get the permits, and then let you know so that you can mark my application as withdrawn? -Katy On Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 02:32:59 PM EST, Smith, Cherri L <cherri.smitha_deg.nc.gov> wrote: Hi Katy, My coworker went to your property today at Lake Royale and determined that the stream near your property is perennial and, therefore, subject to the Tar -Pamlico Buffer Rules. The good news is that the impact from your driveway is small enough that it's "Deemed Allowable", and in other words, is exempt from these Rules. My hope is that email will suffice for you to proceed with building your house because it doesn't make sense for me to issue you a Buffer Authorization for something that doesn't need an Authorization. I'd like to withdraw your application from consideration, so please let me know when you have the clearance to proceed with your house so I can withdraw it. Thank you.
