Checks or money orders can be mailed to the following address:
Non-Discharge Branch
1617 Mail Service Center
Raleigh, NC 27699-1617
If you paid the overdue annual fee prior to receiving this notice, provide documentation verifying payment (e.g.,
receipt, canceled check, etc.)
If the non-discharge system was never constructed or if it is no longer active, you may request to rescind (cancel)
your permit. If both the Central Office and Regional Office approve the rescission request, we will also waive any
overdue annual fees. However, if you wish to construct or operate the subject non-discharge system in the future,
you will have to obtain a new permit at that time. Please send an email to nathaniel.thornburg@deq.nc.gov to
request rescission.
If you no longer own the property containing the subject facilities, please notify us so that we can contact the new
landowner(s). As your permit notes, ownership of the permit does not transfer with the land, therefore you are still
responsible for the permit and annual fees until we can re-issue the permit to the new landowner(s).
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and timely response. If you need additional information regarding this email,
please do not hesitate to contact me.
