Inspection Summary:
On June 7, 2024, Division of Water Resources staff, Kristen Potwora, completed a review of the 2023 Annual Report for
WQ0001318. This review reflects compliance with the subject permit.
Observations:
• In February the total amount of dry tons received by participants was 53.36,but on the Class AAnnual Distribution and
Marketing/Surface Disposal Certification and Summary Form it was recorded as 63.36 dry tons. That changes the total dry
tons for the 2023 year to be 2204.48 instead of 2214.48 dry tons.
• Annual Residual Sampling occurred on 2/1/23, 4/5/23, 6/7/23, 8/2/23, 10/4/23 and 12/6/23.
• TCLP was completed for the last permit cycle in 2021. The new permit cycle is effective from 7/1/2024 through
6/30/2032 and will need TCLP analysis conducted.
• Often the fecal coliform samples were over the 1000 MPN/gram parameter limits. Samples were taken again and were
under the parameter limits prior to distribution. Based off 40 CFR 503.32(a)(3)(i), each sample must comply with the
numerical requirements and be completed when the material is ready to be used or disposed of. This was clarified with the
City of Lexington during the 2/5/2024 Compliance Evaluation Inspection.
