Inspection Summary:
On June 7, 2024, Division of Water Resources staff, Kristen Potwora, completed a review of the 2023 Annual Report for
WQ0031314. This review reflects compliance with the subject permit.
Observations:
• 313.7 dry tons were land applied in March, April, October, November and December of 2023 in Yadkin and Davie County
from the P.W. Swann WTP.
• 792.74 dry tons were land applied during June and July of 2023 in Davidson County from the R.W. Neilson WTP.
• 475.54 dry tons were hauled to the Hanes Mill Road Landfill in Winston Salem, NC from the R.A. Thomas WTP.
1. The Swann WTP:
a) TCLP Analysis was completed for this permit cycle on 12/2/2020.
b) Residuals Analysis was sampled on 3/23/23 and 10/2/23.
c) Soil Analysis of the fields applied on from the Swann WTP were sampled in November 2023. Results were within
parameter limits. Lime was applied on Field#1, Site#DV34.
2. The Neilson WTP:
a) TCLP Analysis was completed for this permit cycle on 1/31/2021.
b) Residuals Analysis was sampled on 5/15/23 with four samples prior to the June and July land application events. The
average of the four samples was used for Annual Metals Field Loading, SAR and PAN calculations.
