To protect the downstream channel bed from the 20 ft/sec velocities, we would like to imbed Class II rip-rap flush with the channel bed from the 20 ft/sec velocities. This would be extra protection for the larger storms. With the culvert buried as designed a lot of the momentum of the flow will be dissipated by the d/s sill for the majority of the storms. I remember talking about embedding rip-rap on other sites, but did not remember if we had discussed for this one. Please let me know if you need more information.
