Dear Mr. King:
On July 27, 2010, the Wilmington Regional Office received a plan revision for Stormwater
Management Permit Number SW8 960701MOD. The revisions include an expansion to the service
department over existing asphalt area and increasing the landscaped island to the east of the
expansion thereby reducing Impervious surfaces by approximately 720 square feet. It has been
determined that a formal permit modification is not required for the proposed changes. We are
forwarding you an approved copy of the revised plans for your files. Please replace the old approved
plan sheets with the new ones enclosed.
Please be aware that all terms and conditions of the permit issued on July 7, 2000, remain in full
force and effect. Please also understand that the approval of this revision to the approved plans
for the subject State Stormwater Permit is done on a case-by-case basis. Any other changes to
this project must be submitted to and approved through the Division of Water Quality prior to
construction. The issuance of this plan revision does not preclude the permittee from complying
with all other applicable statutes, rules, regulations or ordinances which may have jurisdiction over
the proposed activity, and obtaining a permit or approval prior to construction.

submitted to the DWQ Office that issued the permit.

We received a plan revision request for this facility which has the permit number SW2000048. However, we do not have
a permit with this number. Is this for one of the following two permits?:
SW8 960701: Bob King VW GMC Truck Center
SW8 920913: Bob King Mercedes
[David Kanoy]it is not one of these-I notice now that 2000048 is the city of Wilmington number. I will call the
civil engineer and get the original state number.
Also, I understand that you plan to reduce the impervious and increase the landscaped area. But, please quantify the
square footage you are proposing such as in the following table:

Dawn Snotherly with the City has emailed me regarding some new construction at this
permitted facility. I understand that it is a new building going over an existing
parking area. Just so we're all on the same page, this type of activity requires a
plan revision approval prior to construction. I will followup this email with a
letter.
Plan revisions are reviewed in the Regular program at no fee. The fee for a plan
revision in the Express program is $500.00, and must be scheduled through Janet
Russell. In order to qualify as a Plan Revision, the built-upon area currently
approved cannot be increased due to the construction of the new building or any of
the necessary appurtenances that: come with it.
