Ok, no problem. Thanks for the clarification.
As for the walking path, the length of 130 is the total. So we can estimate the lengths per zone:
Zone 1 = 80 ft
Zone 2 = 50 ft
Will this email suffice as confirmation?
Appreciate your help.

Good morning Yvette,
For the standard shoreline stabilization application, you are correct— it does not require you to enter the buffer zones
separately. For this project, since the Division of Water Resources will also be issuing the Catawba Buffer Authorization,
I need the impacts listed separately to issue the permit. Looking at the sketch included in the site plans, I interpreted
that as 5X130 total buffer impacts for the walking path. Was that actually supposed to be 5x130 impacts in each buffer
zone? If so, that's all I'll need confirmation of. If not, I'll just need clarification of total impacts in each zone.

Hi Tyler.
Does the online application now allow the impacts to be separated withon the zones? It has always referenced "50
feet", not Zone 1 and Zone 2.
But the additional documents provided does show it separated.
I'll review further when I get back to my office.
Thank you,

Mr. and Mrs. Aiken and Ms. Huffman,
On May 8, 2024, the Division of Water Resources (Division) received your application requesting a 401 Water Quality
Certification from the Division for the subject project. The Division has determined that your application is incomplete
and cannot be processed. The application is on -hold until all of the following information is received:
1.The application did not include enough detail or plans to allow the Division to fully evaluate the project's
effects on water quality.
Your application lists impacts for a construction corridor and a stone walkway, but has the total impacts for
both Zone 1 and Zone 2 lumped together, and there is not enough detail in the site plans for me to parse out
how much impact each activity will propose in each zone.
For the temporary construction corridor proposed in your site plans, please provide the total amount of
impacts in square feet for Zone 1 and Zone 2 separately. For the stone walkway, please provide the total
amount of impacts in square feet for Zone 1 and Zone 2 separately.
Additional questions may follow. [15A NCAC 02H .0502(a)(4); 15A NCAC 02H .0502(a)(9)]
Pursuant to Title 15A NCAC 02H .0502(c), the applicant shall furnish all of the above requested information for the
proper consideration of the application. Please provide your response by June 29, 2024. If all of the requested
information is not received, the Division will be unable to approve the application and it will be denied as incomplete.
The denial of this project will necessitate reapplication to the Division for approval, including a complete application
package and appropriate fee.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
