RICHARD E.ROGERS,JR. NORTH CAROLINA Director Environmental Quality 5/29/2024 Via Electronic Mail(emineraliAlexin onnc.gov) Ms. Eglantina Minerali Lab Supervisor/Pretreatment Program Coordinator City of Lexington 500 Glendale Road Lexington,NC 27292 Subject: Pretreatment Review of Industrial User Pretreatment Permit Renewals Program: City of Lexington Wastewater Treatment Plant: Lexington Regional WWTP NPDES#: NC0055786,Davidson County Dear Ms. Minerali: The Municipal Unit of the Division of Water Resources has reviewed the Industrial User Pretreatment Permit (LUP) Renewals submitted by the City of Lexington for the following Significant Industrial Users (SIUs). The submissions were received by the Division on May 1st, 2024, and revisions requested by the Division were received on May 22nd,2024. IUP# SIU NAME 0045 Tier Rack 0038 ASCO Power Technologies 0028 Hollywood Bed& Spring MFG, CO.,LLC 0012 Matcor Metal Fabrication 0010 Schuetz Packaging Systems,Inc. The review indicates that the IUPs are adequate and meet the minimum requirements of 15A NCAC 2H .0916 and 40 CFR 403.8(f)(1)(iii). The allocation table, maintained in the Division's database, has been updated accordingly. Within 180 days of the effective date of any reissued or modified NPDES permit the permittee would be required to submit to the Division a written technical evaluation of the need to revise local limits (i.e., an updated IWS, or documentation of why one is not needed). This action may include revising, updating, or adding to the list of SIUs. Pursuant to 15A NCAC 2H .0907(b) either the Division or the permittee may initiate pretreatment program revisions. Federal and State pretreatment regulations require the local delegated pretreatment program to effectively control and document the discharge of wastewater from Significant/Categorical Industrial Users to the POTW. It is the POTW's responsibility to ensure that these objectives are consistently met.
