Impacts resulting from utilities installation, including poles, when th�ey are withii� the protected riparian
z�nss of the �andietnan Lake Watcr Supp�y Watershed (see attached �tuie l5A NCAC 02B.0250), may
require apprayals from the Uivision of Water Resources, or a delegaced program. �ome activities are
identi�ed as exempt tmder the "Table of Uses" .(}2B .0250(9) and would not require written authorization.
Far exarrtple, overhead electric utility lines that cross surfaee waters perper�dicuEarly and disturb equal to
or less than I50 tinear feet of riparian buffer are exempt, provided thaT proper best managetr�ent practices
(I3�VIPs) are employed. BMPs are listed in t�e Rule under footnote 2 at the end ofthe "TAUI�i OFUS�iSj3.
NCDOT was issued permit DWR No. 2013=0477 (Certification i�lo. 396b) for a road project (U-361 SA�3)
along the referenced portian af Ske�t Club Raad. The permit covers a81 aetivities occurring withan the
Right-�f-Way as identified within the permit application documents, includin� utility work. Hawever,
the utility wark m��st be concfucted ant� co�ttpleted as described en NCD�T's permik ap�lication and
subseq��ei�t docu�nentatian artd are subject to the Randleman L�ke Water Supply Wakershed Ru�es.
If there are additional impacts to protectet� buffers, streams ar r�vetlands in the c�rrrent footprint of the
project (which includes utilities) thac were not par� of the ori�inal pern�it appfication, NCD�T wautd need
to stibmit a permit modifcation for review.
