Turn left at light and go to MLKJr Dr. Turn right onto MLKJr Dr. and proceed to Water Filtration Plant on your left just beyond intersection with Reynolds Park Rd. 6. Describe receiving stream features and pertinent downstream uses: Stream flows through very urban areas on its way toward Yadkin River. Part II - DESCRIPTION OF DISCHARGE AND TREATMENT WORKS 1. a. Actual treatment capacity of the current facility (current design capacity)? N/A (Water Trmt. Plant capacity is 27 MGD) d. Please provide a description of existing or substantially constructed wastewater treatment facilities: Filter backwash water and clarifier underdrains are pumped to either of two 1.8 MG lagoons which are in parallel. Influent enters on one side of each lagoon and exits on the other side via surface skimmers. Effluent is then pumped to drainage canal which flows into Salem Creek. f. Please provide a description of proposed wastewater treatment facilities. N/A g. Possible toxic impacts to surface waters: Only possibility would be chlorine residual impact, which should be minimal. h. Pretreatment Program (POTWs only): in development approved should be required not needed 2. Residuals handling and utilization/disposal scheme: a. Heavy equipment is used to remove "alum type" sludge off the bottom and it is spread onto a large, level field which is immediately adjacent to the lagoons. 3.
