In response to your letter May 7th ;,dE: are submitting the operation and maintenance plan.
a. A description of the operation of the system in sufficient detail to show what operations
are necessary for the system to function and who shill conduct the operations.
We are a simple gem mining oper..t:on that recirculates our own well water. It is never released out of
Vie system (see Figure A). The gem ii-Jop nianager is responsible for conducting the operations.
b. A description of the anticipated maintena.nc e of the system.
We shovel the silt out of all the catch tanks once a year and recirculate and reuse the water.
c. Provisions for safety measures, including rest•iction of access to the site and equipment.
Both tanks are covered and secured'=where tourist cannot access them.
d. Spill control provisions that include response to upsets and bypasses, including control,
containment, and remediation; and contact information for personnel, emergency
responders, and regulatory agencies.
The only spillage is children splas ziag water from the troughs which is minimal other water loss is
evaporation.
