The upcoming NCDOT (B-5142) Project in Iredell County is requiring the relocation of
an existing Time Warner Cable crossing. This cable is being relocated at the request of
NCDOT in order to facilitate an existing bridge replacement. The bridge to be replaced
is along Cornelius Rd crossing Cornelius Creek / Lake Norman. As part of the Duke
Energy Lake Services permitting process, we were asked to provide a letter of
consultation to you. We request your review and any comments you might have for this
project. Your response is critical to the permitting process for this project. Please
identify any permitting requirements that may be associated with the project proposal.
The location involved is located approximately 405' or .077 miles northwest of
Bluefield Rd (SR-1395) at the existing Energy United Pole # NT working northwest
along and across Cornelius Rd (SR-1302) to end at Energy United pole # NT on
Cornelius Rd across from Sister Cove Ct. (Private) in lredell County. The enclosed
CATV base map can be used as a reference in locating the placement. TWC will utilize
the poles being placed by Energy United and will maintain 17.5 feet above full pond
elevation of Lake Norman at the lowest point of sag with one inch of ice loading. We
have been advised that the Lake Norman full pond elevation is 760.0 (MSL).
