Dear Mr. Brown:
A release of the above referenced mining permit was requested on January 2, 2024. An inspection was made of the
above mine on April 10, 2024, in accordance with G.S. §74-56 of the Mining Act of 1971.
The mine was found to be satisfactorily reclaimed. Therefore, you are released from further reclamation
responsibility for this site with respect to the Mining Act of 1971.
The Assignment of Savings Account No. 445315165 issued by Yadkin Bank, in the amount of$8,000.00 that was
in place for the above referenced permit was previously returned, in error, July 9, 2018, during the release of mine
permit #72-23. The Department still had in its possession the Assignment of Savings Account No. 442825582
issued by Vantage South Bank in the sum of$7,400.00 in place for mine permit#72-23.
Now that both permits, #72-23 and the above referenced #72-25, have been released, I am returning your
Assignment of Savings Account No. 442825582 issued by Vantage South Bank in the sum of$7,400.00 to you for
your disposal.
